Northwest Nature Matters Podcast

ORTWS is proud to announce the first three episodes of the Northwest Nature Matters podcast! This podcast is produced by the Oregon Chapter of The Wildlife Society in partnership with the Oregon Wildlife Foundation.
The people of the Pacific Northwest value beautiful natural scenery, clean air and water, and abundant fish and wildlife resources. Conservation is important to us, yet sourcing accurate scientific information can be difficult in this age of polarized content. The goal of the podcast is to serve as an antidote; to give you the opportunity to hear directly from the experts, through long-form conservation about natural history and conservation.

It is hosted by John Goodell, who interviews established scientific experts in varied topics including fish and wildlife research, conservation, and natural history disciplines. Broad focus of the podcast is to explore key natural history and conservation topics and increase natural history science literacy and awareness of these topics in the PNW; increase interest of, and appreciating for, natural history professional disciplines; and explore nuanced biological, ecological and general natural history phenomenon. The intent of this podcast project is to target the general public; particularly outdoor recreation enthusiasts, STEM educators, the business sector, sportsmen and women, wildlife advocates, policy makers, sustainability professionals and more.
