Roberta holds a Master’s degree in Wildlife Science from Oregon State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology from the University of Virginia. She currently works as a Wildlife Biologist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers but she previously worked throughout the U.S. from Delaware to California and Alaska to Hawaii for state and federal wildlife agencies, universities and private conservation organizations. She has worked with birds, seals, fish and plants, but her favorite study subject will always be the endangered Hawaiian petrel, with whom she spent four years on Mauna Loa while earning her Master’s degree. Roberta enjoys getting outside any way she can, on foot, on a bike, or on skis, and spending time with her obstreperous pup. Roberta is the current workshop coordinator for the Wildlife Society Oregon Chapter Board of Directors, and she enjoys facilitating learning opportunities for students and professionals.
