Friday February 5 was a day of workshops, field trips, and community service!
Through mud, fallen trees, and along sheer cliffs, five brave souls ventured out to Indian Beach, within Ecola State Park, to pick up trash along approximately a half mile of beach access. The crew found lots (lots and lots) of plastic and Styrofoam but the most interesting piece retrieved was a large plastic boat buoy (pictured below). They filled 7 large bags before the rising tide forced them to retreat.
