Starkey research staff from the PNW Research Station, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and National Council of Air and Stream Improvement will provide an update on the status and preliminary findings from the revised modeling efforts for elk nutrition and habitat use for the Blue Mountains as part of the Oregon Chapter meeting of The Wildlife Society in Pendleton. The elk modeling meeting is scheduled for Wednesday February 8, from 800-1000 am, in room 3 of the Pendleton Conference Center. The meeting will be very informal and allow for ample discussion of the model revisions underway and the next steps for finalizing use for management.
