Former Positions/Employment: Research Wildlife Biologist, Pacific Northwest Research Station, USDA Forest Service.

TWS Activities:  Served as an Executive Board Member for the Western Section of TWS for 9 years. Co-founded the Student Affairs Committee of the Western Section (2005). Served as Board Member for the Biometrics (2012) and Student Development Working Groups (2010) of the Parent Society of TWS and was the Student Activities Arrangements Committee Chair for the Annual Conference (2009).

ORTWS Goals: I would like to would work with the board on their existing goals. Further, I would work to provide early career professionals and students opportunities to gain relevant experience while synergistically assisting current wildlife professionals.

Interests (Professional and/or Personal): As a wildlife ecologist and Senior Research Scientist for NCASI my team’s research provides science-based information for forest managers and practitioners specifically aimed at balancing management with the long-term conservation of forest-dependent species, including insects (pollinators), mammals, and birds. Recent research emphases has included forest carnivores such as fishers and martens. I also enjoy spending time with playing in the outdoors with my family and friends, including cycling and paddling.
