Mikayla Bivona
ORTWS Board Member (2025 – 2027)
Current Position: Assistant Wildlife Biologist
I’m still early in my career and able to run through my experiences briefly. Before a permanent position, I started in this field as a District Intern for ODFW, followed by a Deer Capture Technician in Pennsylvania, a Waterfowl Technician in Colorado, and a Non-game Technician in Wyoming. I grew up on the East Coast and received my B.S. in Environmental Science from Ramapo College of New Jersey. I loved my time moving around the country as a seasonal technician but feel very lucky to have a permanent job in Oregon. This field has given me amazing experiences and lifelong friends. When I’m not at work, you can find me working on my art/photography and spending time outdoors (preferably with my fluffy friends).
I look forward to serving on the ORTWS board and helping students achieve their goals in this field!
