Present Position/Employment: Sagebrush Ecosystem Coordinator, US Fish & Wildlife Service
Former Positions/Employment: I have dedicated over 15 years to upland game bird management and conservation efforts, with a focus on lesser prairie-chicken and greater sage-grouse ecology. I began my career as a wildlife biologist with New Mexico Department of Game & Fish and worked as a private lands biologist for Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife where I assisted private landowners develop upland game bird habitat on their property and promoted wildlife-related recreational opportunities through access agreements on private lands. Before joining the Service, I was the sage-grouse conservation coordinator for Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

  • Certified Wildlife Biologist ®
  • Member of the Northwest Section and Oregon Chapter of TWS
  • Member of the Rangeland Wildlife Working Group

  • Served on Presidential Nominations Committee for 2016-2017 National TWS President Elect
  • Sought out as a reviewer for the Journal of Wildlife Management and Wildlife Society Bulletin

ORTWS Goals:  I will work to improve the Society’s efforts to build membership and to encourage students and early career wildlife professionals to become active members and leaders of our profession. By increasing the visibility of the Oregon Chapter of TWS to both our members and potential members I believe we can grow and build on the recognition that the Society is not only the authority on wildlife science and management but that membership is valued and sought after by wildlife professionals.

Interests (Professional and/or Personal): I live in southeastern Oregon where I enjoy hiking, gardening, photography, hunting, and all things grouse.
