I work for Weyerhaeuser Company, where I am the Western Wildlife Program Manager. I have worked as a wildlife biologist for 18 years. After leaving Washington State University with BS and MS degrees, I worked initially as a seasonal surveyor for WA DNR. My next stop was as a district biologist and then ultimately a region biologist, also with DNR in Western Washington. In 2000 I left Washington to take a job with Willamette Industries in Oregon; not long after I became a part of the Weyerhaeuser organization.
My professional interests include T&E issues, habitat management, forest sustainability, and understanding relationships between forest management and forest wildlife.
I began my TWS involvement as a member of the WA chapter in 1995. I became a member of the OR Chapter in 2000, and currently serve on the Board. I am also a 10+ year member of the NW Section as well as National, and have regularly attended National meetings since 2001.
Outside of work I enjoy running, salmon fishing, backpacking & camping, hunting, and family.
