The Oregon Chapter of the Wildlife Society (ORTWS) is inviting artists to participate in the creation of a new ORTWS logo for use across all organizational platforms. The Oregon Chapter of the Wildlife Society (ORTWS) is a non-profit 501(c)3 professional organization and represents over 700 wildlife professionals in the state. It is a chapter of The Wildlife Society (TWS), a national organization. Click here for more information on ORTWS, and here for more information on our parent society.
The winning artist’s work should represent a strong and inclusive design for wildlife conservation and management in Oregon. Through this logo we seek to emphasize the inspiration and empowerment of wildlife professionals in Oregon sustaining wildlife populations and habitats.
Guidelines and Recommendations for the Design
We ask for artists to consider the following when they are designing their submissions:
• Easily recognizable as the ORTWS logo
• Representative of and/or symbolic of the state of Oregon and its wildlife species
• Consider scalability (300 dpi minimum resolution, 0.5-inch minimum size) and functionality across a variety of typical logo uses such as media, swag, etc.
• Color compatibility (should be able to be reproduced in black and white, or color)
• Logos must be original artwork. Logos must not contain copyrighted material. Previously designed original artwork from the artist is acceptable if it has not been and will not be reproduced or published in other venues or purposes
Further inquiries or questions should be directed to logo@ortws.org
