Mikayla Bivona
ORTWS Board Member (2025 – 2027)

Current Position: Assistant Wildlife Biologist – Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife

Biographical Sketch: My name is Mikayla Bivona and I’m currently employed as the acting Assistant Wildlife Biologist for the ODFW Ochoco District.

I’m still early in my career and able to run through my experiences briefly. Before a permanent position with ODFW, I started in this field as a District Intern for ODFW, followed by a Deer Capture Technician in Pennsylvania, a Waterfowl Technician in Colorado, and a Non-game Technician in Wyoming. I grew up on the East Coast and received my B.S. in Environmental Science from Ramapo College of New Jersey. I loved my time moving around the country as a seasonal technician but feel very lucky to have a permanent job in Oregon. This field has given me amazing experiences and lifelong friends. When I’m not at work, you can find me working on my art/photography and spending time outdoors (preferably with my fluffy friends).
I look forward to serving on the ORTWS board and helping students achieve their goals in this field!
