Job Opportunity – Fisheries Project Assistant, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife – La Grande

Based in the East Region Fish Research Office in La Grande, Oregon, participate in a monitoring program to evaluate habitat, and juvenile and adult salmonid escapement in the Grande Ronde River basin. Project assistant will act as crew leader in data collection of adult spawning and juvenile rearing surveys, data entry, and compiling and summarizing data for tables/graphs in annual reports. Full time limited duration position through June 30, 2019

Qualifications: Three years of biological experience performing studies, research, or resource management activities in a fish or wildlife program, or a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries or Wildlife Science or a closely-related Bachelor’s degree.
Salary: $3,129-$4,545/month
