 2021 Wildlife Webinar Series:
The Nature of Change

 Oregon Chapter of the Wildlife Society
January – August 2021 || Zoom

We invite abstracts for our new Wildlife Webinar series. The webinar series will be recurring virtual sessions held from January 2021-August 2021 to provide a platform to present new research to your colleagues during the pandemic. They will provide a consistent on-going environment for wildlifers across the state to learn and engage with each other.  Talks and curated sessions will be selected from the submissions and organized by the ORTWS board with a program release date in December. Each session will be 2 hours long with 3-4 presentations followed by a Q&A session and virtual discussion. Each presentation will be approximately 10 minutes long. We look forward to seeing what ORTWS members submit in the upcoming months!

We welcome presentations, special session proposals, and ideas for other facets of the program.  All topics in wildlife, vertebrate biology, habitat management, conservation, and application of research findings to conservation and management practices are welcome. Some topics that are especially applicable to this year’s theme include:

  • Diversity and inclusion in the wildlife profession
  • Climate Change & Marginalized communities
  • Climate Change & Emergent Zoonotic Diseases
