History with ORTWS: Board member 2019-present; Conservation Committee Chair

Biographical Sketch: I grew up just a stones throw from the mouth of the Columbia, a great place to learn about a future career in natural resources . I’ve had a lifelong interest as a naturalist and all things wild and out of doors. During college and for several years after, I worked as a wildlife technician all across the west and enjoyed spending months at a time in the field. While I will always have my roots out in the field getting mud on my boots, I grew to recognize and appreciate the challenge of understanding how wildlife, people, and policy intersect with one another. Currently, I work as the Oregon/Washington Field Representative for the Theodore Roosevelt Conservation Partnership (TRCP). TRCP is a national non-profit whose mission is to guarantee all Americans quality places to hunt and fish. My role within the organization is to work with a multitude of partners in a collaborative manner to craft policies that benefit and conserve habitat for fish and wildlife as well as enhance opportunities and access to hunt, fish, and enjoy our public lands.

I have been a member of the Wildlife Society since college and have served as a board member with the Oregon Chapter of the Wildlife Society for the past two years. During this time, I have learned a great deal about the organization and have enjoyed getting more involved and working with fellow biologists to engage in the many challenging issues facing wildlife in Oregon today. Over the past year, I have served as the board Conservation Committee Chair and would like the opportunity to continue working on the board for another two years.
