Biographical Sketch: Dempsey Public Affairs LLC is a government relations firm in Oregon that provides clients with expert lobbying, strategic consulting and PAC management.
Jack Dempsey is a proven leader in government affairs in Oregon. With over 25 years of experience in the political arena, he brings an insiders’ knowledge of the legislative process as well as excellent relationships with elected officials, their staff, key agency staff, and other lobbyists and policymakers.
Prior to founding Dempsey Public Affairs in 2012, Jack served as Director of Health Policy and Government Relations at the Oregon Nurses Association as well as Associate Director of Government and Community Relations at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU).
Jack began his political career in Oregon in 1998 as a campaign and capitol staffer. He honed his capitol experience in his roles as Legislative Director for Oregon Senate President Peter Courtney, Executive Director of the Senate Democratic Leadership Fund, and as a Policy Analyst for former Senate Democratic Leader Kate Brown.
