Biographical Sketch: I've been lucky enough to have a really varied career and one that has given me incredible opportunities.  I've been working in the natural resources field for my entire career, although I started out wanting to be a veterinarian. I grew up watching Wild Kingdom and wanted to be Jim when I grew up. Marlon Perkins was cool too but he just sat in the Land Rover while Jim wrestled alligators and tackled wildebeests. I definitely wanted to be Jim. I love to travel and have discovered some remarkable places over the past six or seven years but Steens Mountain, in SE Oregon, is one of my favorite places on the planet. Ask me about it when you see me – it’s an amazing place and I love to tell people about it. Although my career might be winding down, I don’t have plans for slowing down anytime soon. As Hunter S. Thompson would say, “it’s been one hell of a ride,” but I know it’s not over yet.
